RULE

We are proud to present a special dance theater piece, which will perform for the very last time at CDC 2025: RULE

A cast of international dancers unite on stage for RULE, a unique dance performance produced by Imenella Mohamed and Rut Roos (Unruly Gang). It is a tribute to Dancehall culture, its rich history and worldwide influence.

In recognition of the culture, RULE places Jamaican dancers at the heart of the production, alongside other international Dancehall dancers. The performance creates a unique experience where the story is told through emotion, music and explosive, energetic choreography. The dancers push themselves – sometimes close to their limit – showing that the only way to surpass that limit is to come together and RULE as one.

RULE invites the audience to experience the journey of Dancehall culture from the streets of Jamaica to the world’s biggest stages. The show, which premiered in Stockholm in 2023 and has toured Sweden three times, is now coming to Germany exclusively performing at CDC Dance Festival in 2025 for the last time!
