ŋusẽ

celebrating peace and strength to fight injustice

Friday, 17th May 2024

We wouldn’t be CDC Festival, if we didn’t have something very special planned for you each year!
This year we proudly presented “ŋusẽ – celebrating peace and strength to fight injustice”

The dance theater piece “ŋusẽ” is a captivating and profound work developed by the internationally renowned Ghanaian choreographer E-Flex (Michael Sarpong) and theater educator Peter Atsu Adaletey. The dancers are young talents from lower socio-economic backgrounds in Ghana who have found a new home in the “Ghetto Studio”, founded and let by E-Flex and the organization Dance4Change GH.

In the piece, five outstanding talents from the Accra-based company “Dance4Change GH” meet five Afro-German dancers, creating a unique cultural and emotional bridge between the African continent and the Afro-diaspora.

“ŋusẽ” is more than just a dance theater piece – it is a powerful statement for peace, justice and human connection that takes the audience on an emotional journey and inspires reflection.
