This year’s Spot On! The conference “From Roots to Riches: Dance, Music & Storytelling” offered an exploration of different aspects of afrodiasporic cultures, recognising that culture is interconnected. We delved into Black contributions to the music industry, the commodification of afrodiasporic dance and the storytelling power of tattoos. Our diverse panel of artists, scholars and experts gave us some thought which provoked input to discuss in a panel.
